Account Updater

Available through our payment gateway, the Fidelity account updater tool scans your customers’ payment account information and identifies any cards that have expired or are no longer active. Then the tool obtains the correct expiration date or account number—using data provided by the card issuer together with our proprietary technology—and automatically updates cards that may otherwise not have been updated. This powerful tool has proven to update more cards than other traditional account updater tools, so you’re sure to see a drop in expired or closed card declines.

Enhanced Security Tools

Fidelity uses state-of-the-art security tools in its gateway to protect customer data. Point-to-point encryption (P2PE) and advanced tokenization keep cardholder information safe from hackers as the data moves through the transaction process. P2PE technology uses a combination of complex algorithms, hardware, software applications, and secure devices to encrypt the customer’s payment card data as it moves from the point of interaction (such as a POS terminal) through your processing system to protect it from theft during the transaction process. Tokenization uses unique, randomly-generated tokens to replace a customer’s payment card data. The actual data is securely stored in either a “token vault” or in a secure off-site environment, keeping it safe from hackers. When you integrate with Fidelity, you benefit from instant Level I PCI DSS compliance since data is fully out of scope.

Robust Fraud Detection and Protection

With card-not-present transactions on the rise, it’s become even more important for merchants to keep fraud at bay with robust fraud detection and fraud protection tools. Fidelity’s fraud detection solution, FraudWatch, works with all major e-commerce platforms to scan for fraudulent transactions.
