VISA/MC
Settlement Claims

In a class-action lawsuit, merchants claimed that Visa and Mastercard colluded unfairly to set interchange fees. Visa and Mastercard agreed to return over $6 billion to merchants that accepted Visa or Mastercard at any time from January 1, 2004, to January 25, 2019.

What should you do?

It is important to understand that you can file your claim directly with the Claims Administrator. If you choose to do so, you can file and find information regarding the litigation at the Court-approved website, www.paymentcardsettlement.com. If you choose not to file on your own, one option is to file through a qualified claims recovery service. Fidelity has partnered with the Brownstone Recovery Group to assist our merchants.

Here’s why we believe you should choose Brownstone:

Expertise:

Brownstone’s expertise is narrowly focused on this very niche topic. They know how to mitigate the specific moving parts, potential unexpected changes, and processes involved with this case to get you the payout you deserve.

Experience:

Brownstone experts have decades of experience in settlement recovery, with special expertise in cases involving payment and interchange. Brownstone staff has worked on other card payment cases, including a previous case involving Visa and Mastercard.

Transparency throughout the process:

Unlike shady operators who sign you up and then disappear until after the settlement—or worse, try to sell you unnecessary services—Brownstone is with you every step of the way. They help you with your claim, they notify you of important milestones in the process, they tell you what the Claims Administrator is offering, and they work with you to appeal a settlement offer if necessary. From start to finish, they keep you informed of the status of your claim.
